Goal
KCSYG si to be a group that can help poor and underprevilledged young people to have equal opportunities with others.
Background of the organization
- This group was formed in 2007 December with four young Karen.
- The very first objective was to help young people who have difficulties with IT (Information Technology). The word “Karen” and “Computer Science” were used for the group.
- After forming the group, the group created a website from a free website link. The group advertised about itself among friends and has been working online. Since the group has to work online, it cannot offer much help for the youth.
- Later, because of the demand form the youth, the group included scholarships and job announcements in the website. Began to give educational help and job finding services online.
- The website is created in a free website link and a result; the group cannot share enough data in the site because the space is very limited.
- The group cannot neither has an office nor a centre. Therefore, members have to meet once a week at place like Tea Shops or friends’ house.
- More and more youth become to appreciate KDSYG and them as for more and more help. Unfortunately, as the group does not have office, facilities, equipments and so on, the group can help them only online
